Batman Comic Book – What Made it So Popular?
Even if you’ve never read a comic book in your whole life, you’ve heard of Batman. The Batman Comic Book has become so popular that people old and young love to dress up as Batman and watch movies and TV about him.
Batman is published under the DC Comics publisher. He has a history that goes all the way back to 1939! It is a little known fact that Robin, his sidekick, was the first to appear in a comic book. However, Batman soon went on to become one of the best loved characters of all time.
Sometimes it takes quite a while for a comic book series to become popular. This wasn’t the case here. The Batman Comic Book was such an immediate success that DC Comics decided to put out regular editions about all of the adventures Batman was having.
It even started as a quarterly publication. Soon enough, the demand for Batman was so high that they decided to release a new comic twice a month. This is one of the few series that has truly stood the test of time.
The Batman Comic Book series has almost reached 700 editions. That is an amazing number that will only continue to grow. The reason the series is so popular is because Batman appeals to so many different people.
The concept of a superhero like Batman is timeless. Just as your grandfather or father loved Batman, so will your children and grandchildren. It is very rare to find such a gem, and DC comics is certainly lucky that they did!
Batman’s story takes place in Gotham City. This city is, of course, full of crime. It is up to Batman to save the people of Gotham from those who terrorize it. Like any good superhero, Batman has an alter ego. His name is Bruce Wayne.
Bruce Wayne is known as a philanthropist around Gotham City. Bruce saw his parents get murdered when he was a child and works to avenge their death. When Bruce turns into Batman, villains beware!
Batman has many neat gadgets and technologies in his arsenal. His best-known weapon is his Bat-Mobile. The villains know to watch out when they see this coming.
Batman is one character you can be sure will be around for years to come. The Batman Comic Book series has many editions with the number steadily growing. The series draws people in because Batman is so innovative in the way he fights crime.
