What Comic Book Value is Your Collection?
Many people want to know the comic book value for their collection. These people rely on price guides and other methods to figure out what the fair market value is for each comic.
This is an excellent way to figure out prices! However, you may want to consider how much the comic book means to you personally.
It has happened too many times that people read a price quote of what their comic is worth and jump up to immediately sell it. They see green flash in front of their eyes and can’t seem to help themselves. However, many of these same people end up regretting their purchase.
This is especially true if you are deciding whether to sell a very rare edition or not. If there are not many of these in the world, it can be very difficult to find again if you decide that you want it again later.
Buying and selling comic books is a lot like playing the lottery. Comic book value can fluctuate at the drop of a hat. The reasons for these fluctuations are varied. There are so many factors that you simply never know if it’s a good idea to sell or not.

Comic book value is also in the eyes of the beholder. It may be that your mother finds your collection in the attic and sells it as a lot at the garage sale for $10. Or, she sells it on eBay for $7 because she didn’t list the titles.
That is why it is important to always keep track of your comics. They may be worth a fortune to you and other collectors, but they are worthless to people who don’t understand comic books.
Always think about whether the comic book value will be more if you hold off on selling for right now. Also, you have to determine if the price you will receive for a certain comic will match the emotional value you have invested in the comic. Remember that value is all relative, so keep your comics close so nothing bad comes to them!
