The Superman Comic Book Has Evolved Over the Years

Superman is one of the most beloved comic book characters that has ever been created. Throughout history this character has appeared in books, movies, and TV shows. But it all started out as a Superman comic book.

Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created the character in the early 1930’s. The two men had been friends for years before they decided to try their hand at comic book creation. They decided to go that route when they realized that Sigel was a great writer while Shuster was an excellent artist.

As with many projects that went on to become successful, the comic book had trouble at first. There were no publishers who wanted to take the project on! They had to put the project aside.

Eventually they got a job working at DC Comics. They generated enough clout at the publisher that they got to pitch their idea to the heads there. Finally, they got the go ahead to begin developing and publishing Superman.

They met with a lot of success for nearly a decade before Shuster got bad eyesight. It was because of this that the pair decided to leave DC comics and work on another comic. Of course, Superman was much more successful.

Over the years each Superman comic book has taken a slightly different angle. Some people believe that the story should have remained continuous, but DC comics always puts a spin on certain details of Superman’s story. Even things like the definition of Superman’s power have changed throughout time.

Even with some changes, Superman remains one of the best comic book characters ever created. So many people know the superhero’s story that he will remain etched into the minds of all for a long time to come.

Recently, the Superman Comic book has been getting a lot of interest because of TV shows like “Smallville.” Smallville is actually based around the Superboy comic book, but chronicles the life of Superman nonetheless.

If you’ve never read a Superman comic, you should drop everything and run to your nearest comic shop. There is nothing like the action you will find when you read about Superman. There is no doubt that the young and old alike can find something to like with this superhero.

The development of the Superman Comic Book was a turning point in comic history. Never before was there such an interesting superhero. Many people loved and enjoy everything about Superman. Even if there are subtle changes made to his story throughout the years, he will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of many.
